Which Lipo Charger

Which Lipo Charger
With so many Lipo chargers out there which are the best to buy? I need a race worthy model with or without a balancing option. I was looking at the Racers Edge SC2000. Any comments on this or other models that might be better. I was told that the CE Turbo 35 is good. I run TC onroad.
Thanks

Something like this will do as much or more for a lot less -

Both have solid reputations, many have the Accucel-6 (I have one) and its a solid, full featured charger with a hard to beat price. You can go to a sporting goods store and buy a case if you need that. Comes with several diff connectors, but if you want a squid, you can get one from AMain.

I would look for something that offers more than 5 amps of charge. You should charge at 1C, but it is nice to be able to go higher if you have a quick turn around between heats.

Swallow EQ is a nice piece of kit.

I am using my converted GFX with a Checkpoint balancer and I really like it. Yes it is some what bulky, but I already owned it and cost me about $70 to get it upgraded to charge lipos. I will continue to use it intil it dies.

Hey Duster
Thanks for the info on the Thunder AC6, looks like a great charger for the price. The video attached was a bonus as well. Thanks to everyone else for their opinions as well.

Hyperion DUO3 is the best. It's not cheap, but there's nothing better. It'll even let you overcharge now (with the latest firmware) if you think 8.44v is necessary. And they're about to release an update to the PC software that will allow you to control the charger from your laptop, along with watching all the pretty graphs about the state of your battery.
If you don't need the dual charging capabilities of the DUO3, you can get its less expensive single charger cousin the NET3.

Other than the Hyperions, I like the Checkpoint 1030. It doesn't have the built in balancer but the adjustable charge rate, the high discharge rate, etc. If it had a built in balancer, it would be the perfect charger.
Well, balancer and LiFe cell capability.

Isn't the Duratrax Ice the same as the checkpoint 1030? I was told the Duratrax model isn't that good for racing lipo packs?
