If you tighten the set screw to much it will not work because the plastic is to soft. Dremel or file a flat spot on the hinge pin or put shoe-goo or similar material on the ends. It will work much better and you won't have to replace the upright as often, because you stripped out the hole for the set screw.
Also be sure you make a habit of checking on the hinge pins after every run.

ya i think im goin to dremel a flatspot in the hinge pins because on the left front i think i maybe starting to strip the set screw hole. if the hole is stripped out im wonderin if i can just enlarge the hole and screw in a slightly larger set screw. o well got a new dremel for christmas with my pro3 better put it to work.

I've actually found there's a bit of a weak spot next to the set screw in the hub carrier - if you take it apart, you might find a small crack in the plastic next to the screw - hasn't caused a failure on mine yet though (although I have been rotating through several spares).

funny thing is I saw that chassis by an unsponsored guy almost 8 months ago. All the pro guys were still running the tub chassis. He got it from Japan.

It is the same chassis Hara has been using - it's a hotbodies prototype - coming soon! (apparently).

Oh and aluminium spur gear mounts and rear braces are now in the UK (as on the spec V japanese car) - I have my order in for my spur gear mount - hopefully it'll be coming in soon!
