I did a search and came up empty handed so...

Is there anyone who makes a cover that goes over the rear drive belt for an HPI Sprint?

I seem to have a problem with rocks/small pebbles getting caught in the rear belt towards the lower frame... I'm on my 3rd belt and have only had the car for a month! I live near the beach so finding a suitable place to drive isn't easy, in fact it's nearly imposable.

Any insight is greatly appreciated!

no one makes a true cover that i know of, but your best bet is take some take, and cover all gears, and the space in between the body and the chassis.

You can try some scrap lexan.

lmao, take some tape. Lexan is good too, but its a pain to secure it.

I don't have to much lexan laying around... Tape would work if i could some how curve it over the belts.

no need to cover the inside, if you can cover it up, so nothing is able to get inside in the first place, the space in between the body and the chassis, and the holes in the chassis is where all the rocks come in.

I already covered the holes in the chassis, it cut down on the amount of rocks but they're still getting caught in the belt. I agree that the best way to stop them completely is to enclose the underside right up to the edge of the body... but is easier said than done.

In the mean time I'm going to try this and see how it works out...

There is alternate cut out part of the diff cover so the stones can escape when they get in - I've tried the lexan trick (use DS tape) and the stones still get in there.

I actually thought of that but wasn't sure if they'd just come in through the whole I'd cut in the diff cover... But I'll give that a try sense it's all apart anyway

so far I have seen no good way of stopping rocks from getting in there if you dont run a prepared surface. Just take a break, turn the car upside down.

What happens is the stone gets wedged betwen the diff (and belt) and the diff cover you soon know when you have all that white fluff from your belt in the car. I suspect the Cyclone reat belt fits (have not tried it yet though) but the rubber belt may be a little more resilant.
