Just wanted to see if anyone had information about this body. This picture was from another racing thread. Looks similar to the Alex racing body, but note the huge Protoform sticker on the side.

Dale wouldn't make anything that ridiculous.

Cab-forward design with lots of trunk space.

miccal 02-21-2008 12:58 AM

It is the Alex Racing Design LX-250 body for sure.

It definately looks like the Alex Racing Body (which I can't find here in the US...help please) but the huge Protoform sticker on the side is a little deceiving. Either way, I like it.

Ah ah, with Protoform decal to pretend to be from this brand, driver of this car is really smart, joking!
But where took this picture?
As we could see maybe is in Asia.;)

I believe the race was in Thailand

daveaustin5 02-21-2008 09:29 AM

It's from the TITC race in Thailand.

Guys! OK - you caught me. The secret release of a new Protoform body. Can't get away with anything with this here fangle Internet thing.

I thought I'd debute the all new 2009 Protoform El Camino ClubCab sedan :weird: body in Thailand. It seems that they really like that "look" over there. I sure did hope you guys would like it as much as the racers in Asia.

Na - just messin with ya. It probably just an mis-decaled Alex Racing thingamabob body named after the very beautifull Lexus IS 250/350.

Brian McGreevy - thanks for your vote of confidence. Nicest thing I've heard today. ;)

Damn, I was hoping to see a 1970 Boss 302 or a 1970 AMX Javelin for the growing Trans Am class. ;)

Dale ,when will your bodies be re-summited for roar approval. Also what bodies do you plan to re-sumit for the Rubber touring type bodies..THX

GBS Bodies

John Tag;

I'm currently making minor dimensional adjustments to the molds that I want to submit to ROAR for the GBS approval. A little time consuming because of shipping across the country etc. Here's a small list.

#1465-00 - Mazda 6 (rubber tire)
#1487-00 - Mazda Speed 6 (rubber tire)
#1476-01 - Stratus 3.0 AP (rubber tire)

#????-?? - NEW un-named Foam/Carpet Protoform body (3 to 4 weeks away) followed by a "rubber tire" version of the same body style. Both done to GBS configuration.

* Please note: none of the small changes I'm currently making will have any effect on performance.

I sincerely appologies to anyone who has been negatively affected by my inability to get these (GBS/ROAR re-approvals) all done on time or at very least a bit sooner. Since Sept 2006 my priorities have needed to be a bit "divided" unfortunately. Sometimes life throws us a few unexpected "curves" and forces us to focus on things that we normally take for granted.

Thanks for your patience - Dale - Protoform
