Let's see, if you had my earlier posts, you would have seen that I suggested retrying the "initial setup." Given the fact that I didn't really have much to go on in the way of information, it's hard to help diagnose the problem.
In addition, your response of "Take it out and replace it with something orange or blue..." offers no reasonable solution to this particular problem. Why don't you try offering advice that might help him rectify the situation with equipment he already has
instead of suggesting that he buys something else.
"Gee, Mr. Auto Mechanic, my Honda's not running correctly."
"Well, why don't you try buying a Nissan."
See how ridiculous that sounds?
