Default Keyence Zero extreme ecs

Anyone having problems with the brakes not working on this speedo? Any help curing this problem will be appreciated.

I've got the Zero V Extreme, and I haven't had a single problem with it in the 4 months I've had it. Have you tried reloading the profile?

I've been thinking about buying the Zero Extreme, how do you guys like it? Looks like it would be a really nice ESC.

I don't know, I have 2 keyence zero's and both dont have brakes. I tried using different profiles but still the same thing. I even used 2 different radios and still the same. Used both a M8 and a 3pk.

I love mine. I've blown up 2 GT7's since November, but haven't had the slightest "hiccup" from the Keyence. The Keyence's default profile (# 4 or 5, IIRC) seems to have more punch than the "aggressive stock" profile of the GT7, but I like it that way.

As for the "no brakes" thing. Off the top of my head, I think you have to do a "setup" routine with this ESC - I know that on my GT7, I didn't have brakes until I completed the setup properly. You might go back through the manual on the Keyence and see if you missed something.

I have been wanting to try one, so I might just trade the Quantum in for one, we'll see what happens...

My only complaint with them is that the Zero V Extreme is expensive - a full $50 more than my previous GT7, but it has performed well beyond my expectations.

Where is the cheapest place to buy it? I noticed it is really expensive, but I think with Keyence, you get what you pay for.

Probably from Steve at Speedtech.

I saw some new ones on Ebay for $149.00+shipping.

That's not bad - I paid $199 at the LHS.

I try to buy what I can at the LHS to help keep local business going, but sheesh - had I known I could have gotten it THAT cheap, I'd have ordered it online.

Bought mine from Steve W last week. Works great. As for no brakes.... are your EPA on your radio set to 100 and not higher? Anything higher and the ESC may not beable to read it properly. This goes the same for throttle. Just make sure your throttle and brake EPA (end point adjustment) are set to 100 or lower.

Anyways, I like mine. Works great. It's nice to beable to store 4 of my own profiles. Like I said... I just got mine... so I'm still learning everything that it does. Can't go wrong with it! Now I just need one for my 1/12th!!
