Had an interesting chat about this in Nurnberg last week...I'd recommend calling Associated/Reedy and letting them know you want to have a race this year.

We should be making an announcement in the next 10 days or so.

At last year's Reedy Race, the Irvine Spuctrum was the place of mention. I have heard that as long as Tamiya owned the property, they could still run races their. This weekend Tamiya is hosting their TCS race there. I think more rumblings will surface over the weekend about the Reedy Race. Some say that this TCS is the last race their. The land is supposedly in escrow and will close the track at the end of this month. Others have said that the Reedy Race may still be at Tamiya this year, which I doubt. We will know in the near future for sure. I think that is why Rick posted that in the next 10 days or so. Tamiya will probably make announcements at the TCS race. :)

I normaly would not help to spread a rumor, but in this case I don't see any harm. Anyway, I heard there is a chance it will be held at Leasiure Hours, in Chicago. There may be no truth to that, but I think it would be cool to have it there as that is a fairly central location.

i know one of the greatest tracks in the country is completely resurfacing / expanding their track this week. it's not too far from the old reedy race location.

hopefully they get it...

Not too far would mean in the same county or the next one over not 300 miles away.

He is talking about the original Reedy TC race site in Ripon, CA

I think he's talking about Speedworld Raceway in Roseville, CA.
