Default Is there Life after RC Tech ??

Man alive, the slugishness of Tech these days has revealed the depth of my addiction to this site. And I'm in severe pain that the hit of trolling these threads has been reduced to blind panic as the pages take so bloody long to load.

What news ??

When's the man coming to fix me ??

In desparation,

Jacko

yeah, this is flat out ridiculous....we need to pack all of our bags and move elsewhere...if I knew how to do it, I would already have the site up and going and telling everyone to come on over....

but until then...this place is becoming worthless b/c of how long it takes. I think it took over 2 minutes from when I clicked on my bookmark, until it actually opened...

this sucks!

This is absolutely ridiculous. This is a great forum and a great place to exchange information and swap rc stuff. It is a shame that it could be in danger of suffering a horrible death due to the incompetence of the new ownership.

Could not have said it better myself. Part of me wants to just give up on this place, but I just got back into RC a few months ago after a 12 year break, and I am downloading tons of knowledge from here, matrix style.

I just learned jujitsu.

It seemed like the site was completely down on Feb 20. Now, in the early hours of Feb 21, it is flying along. Maybe that was the big server move.

Don't get me wrong... I really like RCTECH.NET, but maybe www.hobbytalk.com is an option....????

or if you want to put up a site, and yes, it will require some programing and configuring... check out https://www.vbulletin.com/order/

Yeah, when I posted my old CRC for sale Wednesday night (EST), it took .... get this .... 15 minutes to upload five little pictures.

As I type this though, the site is hauling ass like a 24volt M18Pro. Go figure.

Man, I've got the knowledge, skill, and forum software (I wrote it) to do it, and I still don't want to try and usurp RC Tech's throne. My software runs a community even larger than this, and it's a monumental pain in the ass to keep up with it. I feel for Shane, I was actually happy for him to see he was able to sell the site. Hopefully Tech can survive this, it's a great community.

Seriously, I'm really looking forward to an end to the sluggishness...

I remember several times over the years when rctech had major speed issues, but they eventually got fixed, so I'm hopeful that this will hold true this time as well.

Not abother vbulletin site. Thats part of the problem!

I got fed up with it for local race track talk so I created my own site for Ohio race tracks. That way I can at least find out about race times and stuff.
