What gearing is a good starting point for a 10.5 brushless CRC Gen-x? We are turning about 9 to10 second laps with 13.5 brushless. Our track is about 80 by 42 feet.
Start out at a 56mm roll out. I think I ended up closer to 60mm at my 100x48 carpet track.
What I run: Schumacher Mi5/Associated RC10R5.1/Associated RC12R5.2/Futaba/HobbyWing/Team EA Motorsports/BSR Racing
Where I run: Florida Indoor R/C Complex/Thunder Racing/Florida On Road State Series
start at 47mm roll and go up from there
at fastcats where i run im running 49.5 about.
when i go up to 53 the car runs but is doggy in the corners
just play till you fined what works good, good high speed with good infield
Your gearing will depend some on what speedo you're running and how your motor/car work on the track. I normally start a little low and go up from there until the laptimes fall off or the motor gets too hot.
56mm is probably where I would start with a Novak speedo. Just go up and down from there to find what's fastest.
