Default Brushless ESC Choice

Anyone want to give me their opinions on their experience with a brushless ESC.

Im looking at
Speed Passions GT
Novak GTB
Associated TC
Mamba Max

I really want an ESC that can do brushed & brushless and is also fully programmable, thats why Im liking the speed passion, but the mamba is a much better price...

Im running stock touring, so ill be running a 13.5

Associated FT-B4
Associated RC18MT

Outrage Velocity 50N (Its a Helicopter :-)
Team Outrage R/C

Well having used all the ESCs you have mentioned here are my thoughts.

The Speed Passion is very nice and easy to program. Footprint is a little big but the performance is also very good. Never did try it with a brushed motor though. But it works very well with sensored or sensorless motors.

The Novak GTB is a rock solid performer and has proven itself time and time again. Will not run sensorless motors though and the brushed performance of it is fairly good.

The Associated I presume you are talking about the LRP. Outstanding performance in brushless have not tried the brushed section yet. But plan on it in the near future. The size is very nice and the programming is very easy, granted it does not have some of the features that the Speed Passion or Mamba Max has.

The Mamba Max with the new software is outstanding with sensorless motors but still does not work well with sensored motors(the higher winds: 10.5, 13.5 and 17.5) but this is just on start up. The footprint once again is a little big but a rock solid performer with excellent customer service(BIG PLUS) In brushed mode it is awesome as long as you use the high power mode. Programming options are awesome, but the USB plug could be in a little bit more friendly location.

Just some of my thoughts on these units.

LRP TC spec is the nice 1 which are on the market.
But if you don't mind to waiting for newest stuffs, maybe looking also for the coming soon: KO, Orion and Tekin ESCs then take your decisions.

Have a thought for the GM Genius range of esc, waterproof (when run sensorless) fully programable best esc I have ever run. Yes a touch on the large side but easily the best esc out there just my thoughts

I've used the Mamba Max and TC Spec. I love the TC Spec, it is the ultimate ESC. The only thing the MM has to give itself a chance is low price.
When someone is intent on excelling in an otherwise laudable manner, does he not desire to inflict pain on others by means of his exalted status and enjoy the envy he arouses? Is there not an anticipated delight in an artist's ability to defeat his artistic rivals, which heightens his euphoria in creation?

I have a Mamba Max in my tourer and a Mamba25 in my RC18B TEK18. I HAve no troubles with both them, easy to setup: just plug in to the computer, downloade the latest software from CC for free! Easy setup through a menu and just go!

I've run the GTB with winds from 13.5 to 3.5 and found it to be a good performer, but since getting the GM Genius 100 and running my motors in sensorless mode, I don't like going back to the GTB.

The GM just feels better than the GTB, if that makes any sense.
