Yes, but it won't be the best-performing front end of that design.

Back on topic, the car looks great, i'm really curious to see how the new shocks go together and how well they perform. If they work well and are durable I can finally stop searching the far corners of the earth for Hot Bodies shock parts.

You can tell by looking at the pics of the underside of the chassis. The new front end no longer uses 8-32 mounting screws, it uses smaller screws.

From what I've seen of Mocherman's driving lately, he'll have no problem.

what if you drill those holes right behind or in front of the existing screws? would that work? I think the time everyone will switch over to that front end, is when parts for the older design will be hard to find. Everyone cant just stop manufacturing older front ends, just because theres a new one out. It wont be like the old front end will put you at a huge disadvantage against this new one right? The top arms are the same, or they are also different? If not, buying a new 12th isnt all too bad, its not like youre dropping a fortune on one, so you can always buy a new one, if you feel your old design isnt working too great, but i just dont want people to lose support of the older design because associated made something new.

That could work however you will weaken the chassis some and change the wheel base of the car.

I don't really care if the new front end is compatible or not with other cars, to me, if the new front end is revolutionary, gotta have it stuff, there will be new chassis plates to adapt it, and in the grand scheme of the price of tires, bodies, motors, etc., a chassis plate will be cheap... What i am REALLY hoping for is three things...1-That the front end can go low enough to use up tires, much lower than the stock front end, down into the range of the new IRS front arms would be good...2-The rear pod axle holders are lower than the old car, it is nice to be able to use up the tires for club racing, they don't ever need to be as high as they are...3-That there is enough room in the rear pod for the crazy high rollout gearing the new BL motors need, especially the 17.5.. If this car has these three things, plus at least as good of handling as the current crop of cars, it will be a HUGE hit. P.S. common size american bearings would be a plus....

i doubt they would turn everything metric, yet have standard bearings, that would be weird. All the wheels would still fit wouldnt they?

Mockerman can hold his own against the best of them. From what I've been seeing, he'll put it in the show no problem!!

im not sure, but i think that might be more of driver skill than car. He can probably do that with the old model too. I wonder if some CRC or other company drivers will switch back to associated, to give it a try, or it will be left there, with few factory drivers.
