Hi all
Has anyone had an issue with their bodyshell rubbing the top corner of the motor pod where the side shock mounts? We mainly have to use the Parma Zytek or Hotbodies Reynard in the UK and even with the shell mounted level with the top of the chassis the corner of the motor pod touches at certain angles.
I tried to heat up a spoon to make a bubble in the shell but it went very wrong.
Any ideas please?
Thanks

John, Ackerman isn't that hard. Haven't drawn it out in years because we use it as a tuning aid in 12th. That's what the spacers on the servo mount are for.

I am going to buy my 12R5 today and would like to know which servo fits in directly and any recommendations you all have. I am currently looking at a futaba S9650 mini servo

Welcome to 1/12! You might want to get rid of the 96T spur and get 80T and 84T PRS spurs for starters. Depending on which brand of 13.5, track size and other factors, start with a conservative rollout in the low 60's (mm), temp the motor and gear from there.

To be honest many of us are running 88 at the largest for the spur with a 13.5 With anything bigger it can get pretty hard to fit a big enough pinion on the car with smallish tires.

I'm using the 84 in my R5 with a 13.5 at the rollout mentioned and it works well. Made the A Main today at Jtec.
If you have new tires that are 46mm in diameter and want to use an 88 try a 41T pinion to get a 68mm rollout or a 43T pinion for a 70mm rollout.

hello, I have a 12r5 issue, my rear pod seems to be anything but flat.
first of I have new upper and lower pod plates, new right and left axel plates, and a new football.
the problem is that when I put the motor plates on the bottom pod plate,my bottom pod plate becomes warpred, I hold down the 3 points that attach to the car,and the back of the pod lifts up,so i take the pod apart and all the parts are flat.but when i put them together, the pod seems warped, any body else have or heard of this problem?

Hi,
are your motor plates the same height? Perhaps they tweak the pod plates...
Cheers
