Has anyone else had this problem?

I got the car from Tower, should i try to get a hub from there or should i
refer directly to AE?

Thanks...
Yeah I had a buddy that had that same problem on his 10r5. He called AE and they kinda hasseled him about but I think it was taken care of.

See.. you read that wrong...
I had stated some time back in this forum that T-Bars are a thing of the past!
And that link cars are what is going to take over. Notice the sarcasm statement? I understand Mike lapped Josh, or pretty close to it. I love my 12R5 but I wish the distributors would order the parts for the brushless rear pod.

It would have been a lot closer if Josh wouldn't have dumped in the main.

Congrats to Mike for a great run in the main.

No sir, I read it right. That's why I made the (sarcasm) statement about the worlds. I will never have another t-plate car now that I have my R5. They link cars are no good for this but good for that? Hehe they already started to show the world what they can do an the indoor season has just began..lol

No prob man. Sorry it sounded like it did.
I know I need to get the brushless deal for mine too. I used an old reedy 19t over the weekend and man I forgot about the dumpy feeling after 6 mins. My old reedy stockers did the same thing in touring car. What speedo an motor you guys using? I've been lookin at the tekin rs with the 13.5

The RS and new LRP sphere (stock spec) are both good speedo's for 12th. The LRP has new timing profiles built in for 17.5 and 13.5 classes. The Tekin will have an update with new timing options shortly also.

For motors, I'm running Orion's at the moment. Rumor is that the new Trinity motor is the latest "must have". We saw almost every major brand of motor at Cleveland (except the new Trinity).

Hey guys,
I have what some might consider a bizarre issue (or maybe not). I'll preface it by saying that I'm relatively new to carpet racing, 12th scale especially, and still have a lot to learn.

Here's the scenario: I've now raced the 12R5 3 times and have been doing very well with it, but being a racer, naturally, I want to squeeze every ounce of performance out of it that I can.

I basically arrive at the track, run a few practice packs, make small adjustments to dial the car in and then the racing starts.

My dilemma is this. In the 3 races I've had with the car, only one time have I gotten faster as the rounds went on. The other two times, the car has seemed to get looser as the rounds went on, despite checking and maintaining the exact same setup that I dialed in to start the first heat with.

Is it customary in 1/12 scale to set the car for a little more understeer as the rounds go on, or am I missing something? Any thoughts and ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like your compound is building up on your tires. try cleaning them off with either lighter fluid or motor cleaner. Then dope them again b4 you run.
If its not fast enough try different roll outs. I quicker ratio might yeild faster lap times. Make sure your allignment is straight, the 12 cars are sensitive to toe and camber. Here's a great site for dialing in your car. read, and race on!
