I would have figured a higher rollout for your local track... I am sure since you are running it for the first time this Sat it is just a placeholder.

I've narrowed down my choices for a 1:12 chassis to an SP12X, PHX12 and a 12R5. I have a some questions on the 12R5.

1) How do you guys find the side to side damping to be working for you? Is it consistent from side to side. Does it feel like there is more pack one way than the other?

2) For guys running the t-plate version, how do you like it and has the t-plate manufacturing issue been resolved?

Side dampening works fine. There is no pack from side to side with these dampeners. The shock shaft passes through the entire shock creating dampening only.

Apex - I seem to be doing okay with my t-plates. They don't seem to be as bad as Mike made them sound. Unfortunately, AE has not gotten back to me regarding the resolution to this issue.

I ran my car in Vegas with the graphite plates and kit hubs.
Jaco Prisim tires, no shims on the right, and I think 2.5mm of shims on the left. Just makes it at 172mm. New hubs are in stock but I'm not sure what Dist. have ordered them yet.

Yep you got me, I measured with a ruler, and at IIC the didn't have a proper box. I measured with calipers today and it is 173.3mm. Sorry.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but all I would need is to get the new hub and cone, right? I wouldn't need to get the 10R5 motor plates too, right?

If I can't get the CEFX car soon, then I'm going with R5T!!
These are the parts you need to make the "brushless" pod.
8511 -10R5 lower plate
8512 -10R5 upper plate
4608 -12R5 diff hub narrow
4609 -12R5 thrust cone

The motor plate is repositioned on the graphite pieces to change the weight balance of the pod. The hub and cone are needed to keep the rear width legal.

Thanks Sean.

What about the T-Bar Conversion Kit? Has the pod been centered for BL as well?

I currently own a Gen-X and I am thinking of sell this car and going with the 12R5, is this a good decision? I am having a hard time with parts availability, I will be racing stock so what is the deal with this ride?
