Thanks for your help.

It's heavy and the size is a bit odd, but the specs are fine
Futaba 9650 is most common

Here are a list of a few other used

I am putting one together and want to start out with a 21.5 or a 25.5. I am new to rc also hence the reason for slow motors. What would be a good roll out to be at? I looked at the charts and it all has to do with tires do I start with a 72 or higher spur?

What size is your track

At our local carpet hang out 90x45' area
17.5 blinky is Wide open all the way around @ 95 to 100mm roll
If your track is half that size, I image a 21.5 might feel the same ?

The speed of the motor won't be a learning curve at all
However, adjusting to the cornering speed of a 12th scale takes some getting used too, if coming from Sedans, or Off-Road

72t spur is correct

Mike go with 17.5 for 1/12... anything else will be a pig. It will more than likely be the motor for Stock 1/12 at the Hangar this season and that is the place to race 1/12.. Remember we are only running 1S so it is slower than a TC..

Kyle I would like to run it there but I will not be in the area ship is deploying again. I want to get it ready before I leave at the end of the month and run it at brcr on road track.

So I'm new to 1/12th racing. I swapped my spare F1 car for a RC12r5.
Just needed a servo and a few small bits.
I have the small bits but not the servo it seems. I just assumed that my low profile Savox servo from my Pro10 would fit.
It's pretty close.
Has anyone just drilled another hole a wee bit over to fit a normal sized servo?
I just don't want to fork out for aother servo I might not use if I don't like 1/12.

I run a JR3650 which doesn't line up with the stock mounts. I just servo tape the servo in the position I want it and then run a thin bead of shoe goo around the perimiter. The servo will stay put and is still easily removable. Not a perfect solution for everyone but a lot of people at my track do the same and I've yet to see one come loose.

Oh got ya... i would still go with 17.5 since that is going to probably be the standard for stock everywhere.... i am itching to get out there.. Sizzler this weekend and then BRCR is my new home..

You have got to run that 1/12 on the ship.. epic picture opportunities ....

The only problem with running them on the ship is if a radar goes off and the car goes off the ship into the water lol

Does it matter what 1s battery I run? Should I be looking to save weight in the battery?

Center shock q:
In the 5.2 manual they use 5mm(2x2mm+1mm) under ballstud and the lower hole on lipo shock upmount; any reason for the steep angle?
