Default Next generation coming soon?

I am a big Associated fan. Originally ran a 12i and switched to the 12L when it came out (yes, that long ago). Been out of the hobby for a while but getting back in. Already built a TC6.1 and a 1/12th scale will be in the next few months. From what I can tell, the RC12R5 has been out for 4 years with the RC12R5.1 out for about 2.5 years. That makes me wonder if there is a new generation coming out sometime soon. I would hate to build a RC12R5.1 only to have the RC12R6 come out soon afterwards

Anyone got the scoop?

There is a inline lipo kit for the 5.1, so essentially, it's a 5.2 now.
Last week I saw a prototype that Bob Stellflue was working on, that I'm guessing would be the R6 ?, no idea when, or if that may surface, perhaps this would come after the Worlds later this year, early next year ? ...

5.2

I checked the Associated site and they are now offering the Factory Team kit and Lipo conversion kit free with the purchase of a Limiting Edition RC12R5.1 kit. Not a lot of information on what the Limied Edition kit offers over the base RC12R5.1 kit. The RC12R5.1 Factory Team kit is $230 MSRP and LiPo conversion kit is $150 MSRP so a total of $380 MSRP. The Limited Edition with free LiPo conversion is $520. Could not see much info on what comes extra with the Limited Edition kit.

Thanks. I did not realize there was such a huge difference between MSRP and street price. I notice Tower does not actually have it yet, but expects it in March. I guess I will wait for the #4019C kit to be available at retailers (ask my local shop to order one).

@RBF

What's the AE part # for the 2mm spacers for the top arm and 1mm bump steer spacers?

Also what servo saver did you and Rick use?

Thanks

Hi Dave, This car looks so stylish with the blue motor, hardware, even blue body clips! Very neat and tidy. Do you iron your blue jeans too?

Those are from Windtunnel Racing

They are .5mm, which is nice to make quick changes, with just a few shims.
