hi
I'm saving up to get a crc genx 10 and run lithium / brushless to try (get people interested) and revive pro10 in New Zealand
Just wondering where to get rims / tyres for the crc genx 10? can't seem to find anything
Cheers

*edit* never mind i think I found some jaco ones on stomer, but they are out of pinks
do the majority of people use jaco rears for 1/10th pan? i'm assuming pinks would work well on asphalt just like pro12.

Rules for the class at IIC are up...
http://www.intchamps.com/WGT_2008_Rules.pdf
I'm assuming the Protoform bodies are the Alfa Romeo 8C and a Mopar GTS , at least I can't come up with anything else... Perhaps it's modeled after the Mopar concept Viper from the NAIAS.
Anyhow, really happy that Protoform is making the Alfa body, a little disappointed that only 8 bodies are approved. After talking to Scotty today he said that some of the bodies were just clearly better than others and perhaps some were much worse than others. Hopefully once more testing is done he'll allow more bodies next time around.

The second BBR cup race this past weekend in San Jose. We had two 200mm cars and four 235mm cars. I was able to win the race overall with my Associated 10L3T with a Protoform Corvette. The other 200m car was also a 10L3T with an HPI TVR body. Setup was trakpower lipo saddle pack with 13.5. Geared 31/96 with 57mm tires. Tires were pink/purple.

I was over in the CRC GenX10 thread and looks like there are a number of guys waiting to get their hands on that one just like the DB10R (apparently 12 guys at this one track but I'll believe it when I see it) so we could be looking at some good numbers right off the bat
Hate to pull up such an old post, but I had to give alittle update.
Last sunday was IROCC (www.irocc.ca) first points race for the outdoor season. The timing computer print out is up on the site.
Total of 61 entrants running on the asphalt. We had 30 cars running in Touring Stock, 20 Pro 10 cars, and 11 Nitro touring cars.
Yep. Thats right _20_ pan cars on the track. It was a mix of CRC, AE, Corally and Darkside. Bodies are also mixed with wide and 200mm all racing together.
I will post some photos of this coming weekends racing, as I didnt even make it out last week. Should have acouple more pan cars this coming sunday.
Shawn.

Body discussion under Oval, Other Scales etc
http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthre...66#post4426666
Just thought we'd get a bit more of a concentrated body discussion over there.
Feel free to add/discuss other manufacturer's shells etc, and what you'd like to see.

Just posted this on the pan10 thread and just trying to see if anyone in Los Angeles is considering this class.
************************************************** *******
Well things are starting to look bleak in me getting a 1/10 pan. Went to two tracks this morning and no one is running a pan class. Went to bending corners, all touring but was advised if 4 or more peeps had them, they would open it up. I than went to Crystal Park and all nitros. Now James who runs the track says it's ok to run electric but really there is no competition for electirc since it's all nitro, this would only be bashing on Saturday's on practice days. At this point I have two choices, get a electric touring car or a 1/8th Mugen. Was hoping to save money by going with the pan car plus looks easier to set up. Anyone in the Los Angeles area that is considering any of the pan cars that just came out? I really would like the CRC and might still get it and just bash at Crystal Park. Anyways hit me up as I am at least still a month away from considering getting the crc kit.
