No problem at all though. If you get a color you're not interested in just return it. We'll get ya covered.

Does the SMC 5000 28C perform better than the 4000 28C when running 13.5 or 17.5?

Get the right battery!

We solved the problem. People need and want the right fit and the right pack. Some folks need top exit wiring, some need side exit. They need to be sorted as that.

We gave the Carbon and Red packs different part numbers.
You order Carbon you get Carbon, you order Red, you get Red. As it should be. Red pack part numbers now end in "R", Carbon pack part numbers now end in "C".

View the solution here.

I wouldn't want a red pack if I ordered black, and I don't feel most of you would either. Anybody that just got a red SMC pack from us, that won't fit their application, drop it back with a note, we'll see you get what you need ASAP.

Kindest regards,
-Bob Stormer

Look at the previous page I posted the graphs of both packs. In theory the 5000 has better IR and voltage but some have run both on the track and don't see a big difference.

Bringing the cars up to minimum ROAR weights for big races might be the other factor making a difference. I believe the 5000 weighs 40 grams more than the 4000. I run my cars light for all the local club racing and so do my competitors. I certainly do feel those added grams on my Phi cars.

I run my car at Roar weight. I'm screaming foul if you ever beat me.... Maybe I'll see you at the Revo next weekend.
