Are you going to do more cars like Tamiya, Yokomo, Hotbodies, etc?

That's one of the most practical parts I've seen in a while. It's light weight, and will probably come close to fitting many different cars and LiPo batteries.

Thumbs up

Nice and simple, I like it a lot.

Now, if it could ADD more weight, too, you'd be on to something.

That's a great idea! Would it be feasible to machine one from something heavier for some added weight?

There would be no need for both. The TC5 base plate I have locks the battery to the chassis already, which appears to be the point of this carbon cutout.

But yours adds much more weight for better balancing

Actually the best solution from a consumers standpoint would be a combo that did the weight to the chassis and something that held the battery in so that you only had to purchase one weight set. Like if this had the carbon double high so that Verndogs solution would fit in there and there was still a lip to hold the pack in.

True.... But there is not enough room under bulkheads to gain all the weight required to balance the car back. Not on TC5 or any other chassis I've come across. So...your still stuck with weighting the chassis or the battery to make the difference.

Also, there would not be enough room for both the carbon riser and a weight plate to clear the bulheads, and you could never make it tall enough to accomidate both.

Im not sure you understood what I meant. I was saying if your weight tray sat inside the carbon and the carbon was twice as high as he has it so there is still a lip, then you could keep the weight in the car rather then having to tape it to the battery. You would then only need to tape the side weight on.
