Default Johnny C???

Johnny C, what do the second holes for the dampner tubes do? I have 2 sets of holes, just behind the pod mount for the shock.

Another ?, on your last setup how much if any of the tires are you doping? And with what if used? Are cutting the widthe of the rear tire down ?

Im not actually sure what moving the damper tubes forward or back does.

The last setup, I was running 1/3-1/2 front and full rear, with Jack. With the stock width tire. Our club racing gets about 12 full heats and we have really really good consistant traction.

Default More Steering

Jason,

Thanks for the help with the traction roll problems. The smaller tire diameter and gluing the outside edges solved the problem except for an occasional bicycle through one corner.

I only need 1 more thing to get the car perfect. More Steering!!!

Which change do you think would offer more steering 5 degree front blocks or moving the battery forward?
Right now the car has 10 degree blocks (1 front and 1 rear shim) battery centered.

Thanks

I would make 3 changes. Move the battery forward one notch, 5deg block, both shims back.

Of these three changes you recommended which one would offer the most benefit.
I don't like to make this many changes at one time without knowing which one solves the problem.

Another thing i found is that the car gains steering when you increase camber. I run 2-2.5 degrees of camber and the car steers great.

Jason Schreffler is looking good at the snowbirds right now with his DB10R. This is his 2nd time running the car and is still getting things figured out and is top 3 so far for practice. Should be great once he gets situated and gets the final adjutments made. Jason and Larry are also on A main pace with the new DB12RR also. Its nice to finally have the car in the hands of a team driver at a big race.
