CDMA for radio

Hi,

wondering if anyone might be working on a CDMA radio. Everyone transmit at a similar frequency, but listening on different code word. :)

In theory Code Division Multiple Access should work, Biggest problem would be bandwidth required to operate the system efficiently. With modern digital coding rather than the analogue coding used in older CDMA systems it would be in theory a good idea, you could have an assigned code for every driver and "in theory" not suffer interferance.
We did look at this about 18 months ago, biggest obstacles were...obviously the bandwidth required and the size of the decoders for onboard the cars.
Still someone somewhere will have the technology and time to get the things small enough to work.

Any takers?????

FCC

I think getting FCC and their respective counterparts in each country approval would be another obstacle/hurdle.

Interesting subject. How large would these decoders be? Similar to a receiver or larger?
