With the exception of Collari, every driver who has won three or more World Championships has also won a 12th Worlds. That's why it is the F1 of RC, because the World's best drivers - Hirosaka, Spashett, Neisinger - have won the 12th IFMAR WC. End of...

If you can't afford the Serpent, don't buy one. End of...

That's quite a stupid reaction... In my opinion it's free to discuss the absurd price of the S120... For me personal it's not a question of being able to pay it, but I'm not willing to pay that much money for a 1:12 car... Especially not this Serpent because of the history Serpent has with the delivery of parts with the S400, the features this S120 has where I don't see the benefits of (yet) and also the MUCH cheaper alternatives....

the Serpent 120 looks over engineered and heavy. that whole tweak adjustment tool is just added weight. crc used to have a one piece rear pod and that thing would bend if you just tapped a wall. the alloy used was very malleable which helped keep the price down. if the 120 rear pod is made out of a stronger aluminum it could hold up. hopefully a titanium rear pod will be available as an option. actually all of the aluminum parts on the 120 should have optional titanium counterparts to lighten the car.

Aluminum is lighter than titanium. The cost of making a titanium pod would exceed the cost of the car 3 times. The 1 pc. aluminum pod is cool looking and is very nicely made. I do feel that it could bend in a crash pretty easily so i am sure a pod similar to whats available on other cars will be made. That tweak plate seems almost identicle to what Jari's flexi flyer conversion has but his is a carbon fiber plate. It seemed to work well from what people have said.

Im sure who ever decides to get this car will be happy. The price is higher than other cars but i think the price is fair being the cost in the pod. Its not the most difficult piece but it is a decent amount of machining and it looks to be done nicely.

Delivery of parts is a huge consern. Even when we used to have a serpent dealer in Canada we starved for front knuckles all summer long when we raced the impulse... Out came the 235 bumper conversions on our cars just to protect those front ends more

Titanium is pretty tough stuff but is in no way indestructable. It is very strong for its weight but there are alot of materials that exceed the strength of titanium. They are just no way near as light.

hi i just finished building my s120 and compared to the cyclone 12 there is no weight difference.the adjustment tool doesnt add to much weight at all but makes for kwik easy adjustment.havnt driven it yet but cant wait to try it out.

Default SERPENT S120 has problems in the UK

A couple of racers in the Uk now have there sweaty mits on the kit.

Race control there is a problem

1.Main shock spring is too short causing approx 2mm of droop which cant be dialed out with provided bits.
2.Front axles are too short ,wheel retaining nuts have to be put on backwards so nylon lock engages.
Has this car in its finished guise ever been run,I think not otherwise these problems would have ben evident.
For a car that is RRP £239 $ 430 approx it is sad and dissapointing for the end user. How quickly will Serpent rectify the problem and supply the correct bits.

Have the USA KITS HAD THE SIMILAR PROBLEMS

OMG

I would really like to try this car, I think the price is quite reasonable for a car with really no need for option parts and I love the uniqueness of the design. My only fear is that it is so adjustable I may get lost in trying to get it to handle well. I really like the look of Jasons BMI car, no tweek screws, it will have to be my new 12 scale.
