I've Just ordered my Level 3 D.E. kit and now all I can do is hope that Larry orders it from Wolf and it gets here before I have a micro-cardial infarction.

I already have a C1 and hop ups galore.
But not quite as refined as the Limited Edition with all the Wolf hardware on it.
The C1 I have only has the pulleys, the mid-block , K factory bumper and the roll center mounts. If I were to get all the trick new gadgets ... I would have spent it all for spare parts. So what the hell right? It is a good car , no matter what my friends say , this is the most balanced and predictable ride I've had in years . It's dialed for Vintage T/A and the HPI side belt you told me about made all the difference in the world. Please please please come as a kit and not assembled.....

Wolf sent me the new side pulley/brace and wow you have so much room to move the motor. also the Aluminum upper side brace (replacing the plastic one) helps the chassis flex that causes the side belt to skip. Great hup ups, and I also got a newer stonger bumper brace

Hi guys Im interested in the E4JS Tub Version of this car,

Was after some info

1. Can any one tell me if Tekin brushless motors and Intellect IP3800 35C will fit, as the description says "Most brushless & li-po's will fit"

2. Also is this car upgradable to carbon chassis if i want to.

3. Do standard spurs fit, and whats the lowest FDR You can get for 17.5 racing if you are forced to use TM spurs only.

Cheers

Hey.

Yeah the 3800 pack should fit in Fine. I had to take the upper layshaft holder off to get my Speed Passion motor in not sure if the Tekin motors are shorter in length compared to them.
Im not sure if you can upgrade it to carbon chassis, looks like u would have to change a fair bit on the car. I could be wrong tho.
any brand of spur gear should fit. I used Xenon gears on my E4 with out any mods.

Also where is the best place online to get Parts.

I don't believe the Tekin motor will fit with out some filing. The can is very rectangular and for all practical purposes "square" on the end and well, before Wolf had some mods done to the carbon chassis the can would not fit. But With a Dremel and a careful eye you can get it in there.

Is thier a cheaper spool than $64 U.S. ?

If you dont want to spend the money for a spool just take the diff balls out clean the diff rings and glue a piece of header card on the diff ring side that touches the pulley. Tighten it up and it should work just fine and it will give you slip incase of a crash.

I had a Speed Passion motor and it didn't fit in my E4JS. The upper chassis support at the back of the motor doesn't clear. What I used instead is the Losi Xcelorin motor. The Novaks fit also. The problem with the Tekin/ Speed Passion/ Trinity cans is that the back of the motor is squared such that it doesn't clear the support. However, the Xcelorin and the Novak have a bevelled edge which clears the support. Either that or cut the support but I didn't want to do that.

BTW, does anyone have a better solution to the crappy thumb nuts on the battery hold down for the E4JS? I was hoping for something better like a thumb screw that srcews into the chassis that stays on the hold down much like the battery strap on the XRay. Anyone have any idea where I can get that kind of hardware to mod my battery hold down?
