Thinking of pulling the trigger on a FF2014 to run in USGT. Is it possible to get a FDR of between 3.5-4.0 with this car? The internal ratio is 2.71 according to the 3Racing site, and the 'spur' gear is 40t 48p? Is there enough adjustment in the motor mount to run a 31t 48p pinion in this car?

you can use the optional gear set from the FGX to get better gearing

Completed mine SakuraFF about week ago. Been very surprised as to how well it runs. Had considered going with a brushed system at first but went brushless. Running a 3300kv motor/esc and steering servo from the Associated Apex touring.
Used a 19t pinion so far, just to get feel for it. GPS has it at 27-29mph. Will be trying larger pinion soon. It's very stable, expected the tail to slide more, since I only run parking lots.

Hey everyone, I'm looking for a Tamiya Volvo 850 BTCC body. Preferred NIP or at least clear and uncut. Let me know if you have one!

I found one on Yahoo auction for $30 USD. Do you think this chassis is still competitive?

It was banned in the 80s because it beat 4WD. I guess there's only one way to find out though.

That is actually a "Special". The run of the mill model had glassfibre chassis, plastic tub battery holder, a single piece trailing arm rear and a single shock on the front.

It was not banned in the 80s..I raced this car for three straight years in Roar event USA and Canada two wheel drive class
And I've won many trophys in the national level event...mostly in canada and local club championship races

Today Front wheel drive are better and easy setup...
I still have mine and it is being chassis modify big time

Here's the one up for auction.

Do you think it can handle the AOC crowd?

A little FWD project I've been working on - a lot of bits come from a donor car but motor mount, chassis plate etc are all home made. Yes, the main chassis plate is just a slab of 3mm CF but its only a first version, and this way I have lots of battery mounting options.
