My father had the Yokomo Mini that you are talking about. I just got my hands back on a MR4-TC mini. It is a real blast to drive. But I can remember my father in the same situation as the other guy, took his Yokomo FWD mini in a fleet of Tamiya cars and totally dominated. I was only like 9 or 10 at the time. Such a radical and working design. On another note, a buddy of mine has a Mantis FF in his closet that I know would trade me for something green, and that would burn *erm* a hole in his pocket. He never has any cash, I know he'll do it for a twenty.

The motor rotate direction on that Conamon can cause more understeer problems... just look at its inertia.
I'll take some pic of my champion car later this week.....this car is totally modifiy..

I have an FF01. It is a fun car to drive around in the street because it is slow and yet durable.

Default yokomo yr-f2

hello, my name is Felix, of Spain, my passion are 4x2 car, in the present time I am along with participating to my son in a championship ff in my city with standard yokomo yr-F2 and ff01, I am having problems with the strap of yokomo, if you know of some store where they have them in stock or if they are worth some reference of another car, and I have been seeing the car conamon ff, have tried to put to me in contact with the owner, but it does not respond to the email, you know some the references of the pieces or to that car belongs and if they are could to obtain.

regardas. excuse for my english
Felix.

Default Me want an YR-F2!

Yay, glad to find a group of FWD-enthusiasts!

I'm new to this forum so I guess I'd present myself a little. I've always been interested in RC and my interest for FWD cars started some years ago with an RWD iwaver (Mini Z clone) - which I've never liked because of its handling.

When driving, the car is cornering 90% of it's time, be it turn-in, apex or exit. A big issue with RWD was the exit behaviour, if you went parking speed it was neutral allright, but if you push it carefully it starts to understeer. Give even more throttle and it oversteers and spins out. I've never liked that kind of impredictability. I learned from live-for-speed that FF have more predictable handling, throttle = understeer, light on brake = oversteer, simple.

Getting to my point I recently stumbled upon the YR-F2, and needless to say, it was love at first sight. I know it's hard to get one these days but if anyone here happens to have a YR-F2 to spare, or spots one on eBay, I'd be really glad to buy one.

hey guys, i just picked up a ff01 in super good condition but i was wondering what some good hop ups would be. i have a hard time finding any. also, is there a website or somthing that has the manual on it. i really need a manual. ff01's are soooooo much fun to drive, id hate to say it but i have more fun driving it than my tt01 or tb02!
