I want to buy a CRC GenX 10 SE.
I'd like to use 2S 7.4 Shorty packs.
is it possible or do I have to buy some parts(upgrades) before using them ?

I run an 88 spur and 42 pinion 20deg timing on a trinity d3.5. The temp is right at 145. Every motor is different but that should get you close.

Hello, I was going to dust off my original Gen X and run World GT with it on carpet. 1S 13.5 Blinky with Spec tires.

Should I upgrade it to the LE or just run it?

- Would the new CRC shock mount up as it is or should I just find a softer Losi spring?
- I have the JRXS tray but the 1S Lipo is just a hare too wide to fit in it.
- Which steering servo are guys using these days?

The new shock will work but I recommend the 4-40 shaft adaptor that CRC makes. The 2-56 threads in the plastic ball end won't take the stress. You can get busy with a Dremel and grind out the plastic tray (carefully) to fit the lipo.

I have mine set up for WGT-R now. LE upgraded to SE with WTF-1 pod plates. I'm having issues getting the front end right, but it may just be my current body. I have a Protoform ZL1 ready to paint and the current body is the Nissan R35 GT-R. I'm running Wayne's old LE setup on the front and the car is pushing on entry.

Please point me in the right direction.

That is not a front end setup. I adjust my diff for traction as needed.

I'm running 5* caster blocks, .45 springs, .5mm droop, 2 hinge shims forward, 1 back. Red center spring with 35 wt oil, blue tweak springs. 1.5* caster.

Are you running on carpet?
I am and I am running 10 degree caster blocks, .50 front springs, .45 side springs, 2 degree camber, CRC factory shock oil, red shock spring and shock extender 2mm spacer under front of shock ball. 1degree droop, my car turns on a dime. I am also running a 911 gt1 body.

Try 1 hinge shim fwd and 1° toe out for better cut in. Set 1.5mm rear droop, 50k tube lube, maybe 40wt oil. From Chang's 1/12 cheat sheet: "In general anything that stiffens rear end, adds steering". How is the diff adjusted to traction? I thought it just has to be very tight and very smooth.

Is it a good idea to try straightening a bent left clamp hub? Last crash tweaked it about 0.2mm, wondering if it will hold or has metal already gotten too weak..
