Default Spec Tires

True. But, when there is a reasonable amount of traction on asphalt, Jaco/CRC/other spec tires will work there too. As was the case for WGT during the 2010 Asphalt Nats at NorCal Hobbies.

So far, I have only done purple/pink when the asphalt surface has been sealed.

I believe they remove some sort of regulator. Just ask the question in the MMP thread and someone will explain it to you.

What are 'spec' tires vs the purple/white ones you guys are talking about?

(forgive my ignorance, I'm a NEWB)

Also , some people are trying to sell me a BMI car, how does the CRC gen X LE stack up against that?

the tires are compounds you can see then in the attachment, the spec tire is the same compound that each manufacture uses just like having a spec esc there all supposed to be the same,as for the car it is personal preference they all work well i live 10 min from BMI and friend with the owner

Your track surface and what others are running will help you determine what tires to run. Some tracks require spec tires in WGT while others don't.

Would suggest that you compare results for the Copperhead 10 and Gen-X 10 LE cars at your local track and determine that for yourself. CRC is more prevalent at my local carpet track; but, BMI is based in Florida where you reside.

Default Front bumper mount

I was on CRC's website looking at pictures of the WGT car's from this years IIC race.

I think it was "Dumper's" WGT, he cut down the front bumper and has three washer/screw mounts.

Do you know what he used to secure the front bumper?

Thanks Greg G

I'm trying to find a heavier spring for the Encore shock (CRC Gen-X 10 LE) and unfortuntately I can't figure out CRC springs. Is a black VCS/Encore spring 11 lb ? It has #11 in the description ? I can't find anything anywhere indicating what weight each spring is. At this point I'm using an Associated Copper (heaviest available for the 12R5) spring which is 16lb and want to try something in the 18lb to 22lb range. Are any of the CRC springs this heavy ? Are there other springs that could work ? Thanks.

The spring lb rating is kind of a joke. I have seen the same spring sold by different companies with different lb ratings each time. Our website explains what each spring is. Do not worry about the "rating".

CRC Blue = Assoc Silver.
CRC White = Assoc Blue
CRC Red = Assoc Gold
CRC Green = Assoc Red
CRC Purple = Assoc Copper
CRC Black = stiffer than copper

I used part#1262 short standoffs, and part #1263 finish washers on top of the bumper. These come two in a pack (both part numbers). I used 4-40 x 1/4 flat head screws on top and 4-40 x 1/4 button head screws on the bottom.

I trimmed the back side of the bumper for weight savings.

Hi all,

Just got my GEN-X 10 LE today. Along with the kit are pairs of Purple foam tires (front JAC2125 and rear JAC2143) from JACO and a 200mm DB-9 World GT (#10225) racing body with wing from Parma. (I hope I ordered the correct stuff for the 10 LE). I am into 1/10 touring cars and planning to introduce the 1/10 pan car racing here in my local racing club.

Can you guys give me a couple of assembly tips, do's and dont's before and while assembling this great car? I want to get it right for the first time.

Any piece of advice will be much appreciated.
