I also see there are many different compounds of tires to choose from in color coding. Have no idea about what that means either, would much prefer them to be shore rating. Our track is medium traction carpet. Will the spec WGT tires do from Jaco?
Jaco World GT Spec Tire, Front (Lilac)
Jaco World GT Spec Tire, Rear (Lilac)

Have ordered 3 Protoform bodies, Corvette, Sophia and the Mulsanne.

Thanks
For wheels you cant go wronge with WGT wheels on all four corners. They get good bite, and wear very well. As for the spur gear, I believe it was a 96T 64P gear. You will probably find that the gear will be the wronge size for your motor.

What type of motor/ESC are you going to be running?

Shawn.

+1 on the Lilac spec CRC Wheels and tires. Premounted and precut, they last forever. I have not worn one out completely yet. I did cut the rears to 2.1 and the fronts to 2.0 though just to drop some weight and lower the rotating mass. I like to keep the shoulder rounded about 1/8 to 3/8 inch to on the rears to keep from traction rolling when traction goes way up.

I'm going to run 13.5T or a simple 13T EzRun if i'm allowed to compete in F1/Group C class at our track.

The seller said the kit included a 105T spur, and i belive a 5 or 5.2 gear ratio is wanted. I have not found any gearchart on the car yet.

What 1s lipo packs fit the GenX best and what tray are you using to hold them in place?

Thanks

ThunderPower 5000 1S pack fits in the Gen-X 10 solid plastic tray just fine. And I cut up the other slotted plastic tray and glued those remnants into the solid tray to hold the pack in place (front to back). The SMC 4900 should also be a winner.

Im after some advice guys. Ive just picked one of these up second hand and im wondering what tools i will need to service this car. I have metric tools for my xray so ill need to get some imperial drivers and a socket for the diff maybe? And ill be running on a medium traction technical asphalt track with 2 cell lipo 17.5. Probably stick to the spec crc tyres as they are recommended a fair bit in this thread. Some advice on any spare and tuning parts id need to get. Want to keep it simple as im no A grade driver

You can use basically any 1s pack, Thunder Power, Epic (Trinity), SMC, or Reedy.

For Vegas what I did was remove the standoffs and the silver nuts that the top deck bolts to, and replaced them with CRC part# 13333 (2 packs). These are a shorter stand off that hold a 1s pack perfectly. Leave the foam on the bottom of the top deck. Also I used the stock Lipo tray that comes with the car, and attached the battery to the tray with 2 thin strips of servo tape. Between the servo tape and the lowered top deck, that battery is not going anywhere.

Hope this helps.

This thread is slow to get replies on, no one races the CRC Gen X10?

Where are good places to get spare parts?
Amainhobbies seems to have some, but lots missing. CRC website is hard to browese and almost no spares for X10.

I am missing CRC 1380 and the balljoints for it.
Seems i can't find them anywhere.
There was a option that i could buy but also out of stock.

I have not yet had a problem getting a part, not that I need many.
yes the CRC site is a little confusing, and so are others when they mix the 10th and 12th parts in the same list.
But i am here in England, and use sites in Holland, Hong Kong and 2 sites in America, Nexus and CRC, unfortunately anything that comes direct from America gets hit with a hefty customs and duty tax, so it at least doubles the price, yet Hong Kong and Holland is customs and tax free.

There is a supposed UK dealer (action model centre), but they always appear to have just sold out of the item you request, and can take many weeks to deliver (7 months for Corally tyres), and my local dealer is unable to get a response from CRC so he deals only in Associated and Xray pan cars, hence so many Associated cars at my track (no one likes the Xray).
