I get a rush by just practicing with the Gen-X 10 on my own. And then there is the upcoming IIC to consider...

Try running the car with a softer motor and then show it off to the others.

Here in the UK (and more so at my local club) we found that running with mega power and speed looked spectacular and was a blast to drive on the straights, but new comers to the class could not find the patience to get used to the totally different style of driving, now that have been running a softer motors (1S Lipo 6.5 / 4cell 10.5 / 2S Lipo 17.5 / 2S Lipo HPI Saturn 20T (#1136)) we have found similar speeds and easier cars to drive, and more interest and cars competing.

I do have a 10.5, 13.5 and 17.5. I went from 3.5r large track to running the 10.5 which was cool and was even considering dropping to the 17.5. I can give it a little more time and see if more people show interest on a carpet track over a large track but I am eager to get my tc5r up and running as well. I am in no hurry to sell it though.

Don't sell it yet.
Interest is still growing here in England, and plans are now starting to get a National Champoinship going for next year.
There is plenty more to explore.

And if anyone is planning a visit to England, our track is about 30 miles from London Heathrow Airport, and about 40 miles from Central London, and the track surface has good grip (in the dry).

Ok guys didn't take much to convince me not to sell it so I just bought some Jaco spec tires for this weekend and will stick it out for the summer and see how things turn out.

I love my pan car

I've allowed some interested parties drive my car, don't have a problem sharing my toys especially if your trying to get a class going. Wish me luck here in L.A. to continue to try to get something going at OCRC.

Default Tire diameter and roll out

Guys,

I have bought a Hobbywing combo to use with my CRC.

It is a Xerun 120A with a 8.5T motor.

I have bought some pairs of CRC front and rear tires, the question is how much I have to take from the tire diameter and how can I set the roll out correctly.

Don't sell the pan car, prolly more will show when racing gets up and going.

What we need is for a pan car to be forced into a TC class and clean up on 'em, then there would be interest!

PM me when/if you typically practice @ OCRC, when I get rolling I will be needing more of that than racing.

Run the pan cars with proper road based GT shells on them, that gets peoples interest, especially if you quote 3 power souces with similar perfaormance:
1s LiPo with 6.5 BL, 4cell NiMh with 10.5 BL, 2s LiPo with 17.5 BL.
And if you get enough interest then an LMP class with 7.4v max, no motor limit and max 235mm width.
Who needs Touring classes?

Just keep running the pan car during all practice's, many will see and start wanting.

You can't ignore it's coolness, speed and price

That's what is happening at my track

Hi folks! need a suggestion: just finished the car with new esc and motor,i'll use it outdoor on nitro tracks (everything is nitro over here!) but i'm a little confused about a proper gear ratio to start from. This is my set up:novak 7,5L/SpeedPassion GT2.0 LPF/trackpower 4900 2SLipo.
I'm a total noob about rollout measurements, and thought it would be better to use 48pitch gears outdoors,so wich pinion & spur gear do you guys reccomend me to start with?

Is there any kind of lexan/plastic spur gear cover in the market?
Where can i find cap tires? Are these any good in rain ?

Thanks!
