Motor? Battery location? Gearing?

Thanks for the set up. I will try and get mine up here next week after I run it.

I guess those parts are not on the website yet. They were just released, and should be on the website in the next few days.

My battery was all the way forward. I ran a Putnam tuned trinity duo with a 2.60 rollout.

Gotta thank wait a minute woods for the motor, I went to the race planning to buy my motors and there were no 13.5's available. Woods let me borrow that motor and I ran it in both classes. It was dialed. Thanks woodsy!

The Champs was my first big race with the GenX10. With a motor and body that I've never used before in this car, a 5th place finish in the A was very pleasing. The car drove easy and felt stable. My setup was similar to Tom's with the exception of 1 spring rate higher all around and slightly thicker oil in the damper tubes.

I am more than happy with the car.

The new wide body mount plates (p/n 1771) are now on CRC website for ordering.

No stiffener plate yet.

The stiffener plates were at the hobby store in Cleveland for the champs. I can't think of the part number off the top of my head right now (1785 I think. I will confirm this weekend.) But they do exist, because I packed them I will make sure that they are the website next week. You can call and order them.....

Having problems with my diff. I fitted 3 bevel washers to help but it has not. even if i have it very tight (can not turn nut any more) the diff still slips!!!!
Have i got soemthing built wrong? If I release the nut 1/4 turn it slips really bad!!!

The rate for the spring that comes with the kit is 30#. Looks to be the same as those used in my old JRX-S.

CRC is stocking Losi shock parts. You might be able to get a selection of individual Losi center springs with different rates from them.

Alan,

If not already done, upgrade from the standard 8-ball spur gear to a 12-ball one. The extra 4 balls helps.

Also, consider changing the plastic axle locknut over to an aluminum one. I get better consistency with my adjustments with the aluminum ones.

Bill

Hi Bill
Thanks, already using an alloy nut but only 8 balls, It just appears that I have no fine adjustment. It's either lots of slip or a little and the nut is locked solid with no more adjustment. this make me think I have something wrong somewhere

hey guys almost done with my gen 10 and need help on motor choice. i will be running 7.4 lipo and was wondering is the 17.5 fast enough on a large outdoor track or is the 13.5 just too much for the gen 10 to handle?

thanks in advance.
