Go to the string on this website titled "Team CRC Gen X 10 R/T" and read Dumper's posts on two ways to convert your SE. One way costs about $10 while the other is about $40. Easy!

Just adding the rubber tires to a WGT makes the ride height silly high. You need to either shim front suspension arms and rear aluminum side plates or shim the front arms and buy the WTF-1 aluminum side plates.

Just add 4 1.5mm shims on the 4 screws up front. On the rear pod add 4 1.5mm shims and you'll need 4 longer screws. Upfront I think I had 5 and 3 up front. Simple.

Thumbs up Rear toe-in

Hello
Normally with nitro/electric touring cars i just add toe-in to gain rear stability.
How do you guys go about gaining rear stability/rear side bite with the solid axle cars?
My problem is high speed stability going into a sweeper

My setup so far
Boosted 10.5t
Body-------------- http://www.team-titan.com.tw/product...php?code=60120
Tires---------------40f/25r
Compound-----0%f/100%r (car park track, I need the rear traction/side bite)
Ride f/r-----------treads flush hub/max
Springs f/r------Kit/white(also have a blue spring to try)
Pod droop------1mm(measured @ rear of main chassis)
Side springs-----kit/flush
Side links/oil/angle-----kit/kit/+1.5mm outside
Gearing----------69t/23t 48p
Front toe-out-----0' or as close as I can get it
Camber----------0-0.5'
Active caster--0'
Caster------------kit
Ackerman------+2.0mm forward
Bumpsteer-----0mm
Shock Angle-----+2.5mm rear
Shock oil/holes-----kit/kit
Dual Rate--------------54 or 55%
Wheelbase------------long

Is there a reason you have 0% Compound on your front tires? IMO I would do 1/4-1/3 of the inside of the tire and try that. At high speed you may be powering through the initial steering, and when the wheel gets cranked too far it tosses the rear over.

Ok I will give that a try.
My reasoning at the time was I am using 40f/25r tires,
An I needed more rear traction so I didn't add any to the front.

Its a Balancing act. If something up front is out of wack, it could cause the rear to step out. Compound is the Easiest thing to change and try.

It worked
Camber was actually 1.75*
Added a better wing (more downforce)
Went back to the kit spring to support the additional downforce, and all is well with the world

If you can find them, Associated made some #4 rear ride height pills. These put a standard CRC pod at 5.5mm ride height without spacers under the pod plates.

Go to http://slapmastertools.com and check out Brian Bodine's spring chart.

Hey guys,

Wha'ts a good standard setup to go off of, for Black CRC carpet, high bite, technical.

I have a Gen X SE. First time running on foam from rubber tire and I really love it.

Honestly, the best thing to do would be to review this entire thread from the time that the SE model came out...and, then ask questions. Especially focus on posts made by Dumper (Brian Wynn of CRC). Dumper was great about passing on his WGT setups after the major races he had attended...and likely won. Plus, his setups are very driveable too.

Others likely have used a foam tired SE on the new black carpet and can comment further. All of my foam experience is on the gray.

Front: Mounted in Rear most holes on X plate
4MM plastic blocks
2.0mm Roll Center shims
.50(10th scale & pins)springs
5* caster blocks
2 shims back, 1 front.
.5mm toe out
1* neg camber(have run as much as 1.5*)
.5mm droop
51mm tire size(Start-run til gone, swap new ones adjust RH according) CA around outer edge
4.2mm RH

Rear:
AE Red center spring
.50 side springs
Kyosho 30k tubes
1.5mm pod droop
51.5mm rear tire(usually lasts 3 sets of fronts, adjust RH as wear)
4.35MM RH

Body-Protoform Gianna GT

This works until the grip is extremely high, then you'll need to remove camber as well as move the caster block shims forward. If you have other questions, feel free. Good luck!
