espresso1967, I'll be at the Roadrunners R/C track Aug 10th with my GENX 10. Looks like they have decent turnout for onroad pancar. It's located at 520 Freedom Park Camarillo, Ca. 93010. Check out there website for more details

Hope to see you there.

Default Kennett Square, PA racing

Went to the Mushroom Bowl R/C Raceway to race pan cars last weekend. There were 4 CRCs and one RC10L running. The CRCs were brushless 17.5s with 2 cell LiPO. The RC10L was 4 cell 27T. The Mushroom Bowl is a banked tri oval with a paved infield. The infield is used to setup the road course and they use the banked track for the long back straight. The CRCs were flying. The RC10L had problems keeping it wheels on. Apparently the 13+ year old fiberglass axle was failing and eventually sheared in two between the pod and the differential in the main. The CRCs were running either a Corvette body or a Saleen body. They looked wicked sharp! The RC10L had a McAllister Corvette body, cool but not wicked.

The CRCs had no maintenance problems and they just kept tweaking things and kept improving lap times.

The old RC10L kept improving as long as the wheels stayed on. Tire combos, traction componds etc.

Cudos to Irrgang Racing I ordered a replacement axle on Sunday morning. It arrived Tuesday afternoon via USPS. Fast.

Posted the below report on "CRC Battle Axe, GenXPro 10, 1/10th pan, Brushless, Lipo,4c, Road, Oval,TipsandTricks" thread and thought I share it here as well.

************************************************** *******

Here is my report for the weekend.

I went out to Crystal Park Raceway in Compton this morning to take my gen x 10 for it's fourth visit to this track. New body (Proline lola) what a big difference from the Saleen and Corvette bodies. Track was treated with VHT and tires with Jack The Gripper, man what traction. Running Jaco pink's all around and this bad boy was gripping all around except when I would steer off the track. Again I was a little shaky at the start but once tires were warmed up and the driver (me) started to get comfortable with the track things started to roll smooth. Still a bit intimidated by them fast nitro cars and still pulled into the pits when necessary to make room for the veterans at this track. There was a good period when all the nitros went to their work benches giving me the track to myself and a bit more relaxed to get the hang of the turns and learn where to slow down and speed up.

All I can say is all the work put into my kit all week long gave me hours of the fun factor until I broke one of the body post right off the cf bumper and pretty much called it a day after 3 hours on the track. Not bad, as I have prevously only had no more than 40 or so minutes on the track and this was the longest run.

I did take some video 2:32 seconds, I am the one with the white lola body nothing spectacular but just thought I share.

P.S. Video has three different views of the track

Hey thanks for the heads up. I have heard of this track but trying to get some practice time before I consider racing. Crystal Park is only 20 minutes away and it's good practice around the nitro guys. Once I feel comfortable with my driving skills, I will take it to the next level. Not sure I will make the August 10 but my plans are to go out to Camirillo very soon.

Will any CRC driver be at IIC with the new Gen X 10? Would like to see a setup after IIC.

I just broke some of the ears on my JR z3650 servo and cannot find replacement parts for it or the case. If you have a non functioning z3650 and are willing to part with the case or top plate let me know how much.

If unsure how it looks here is a pic
