I got a Gen X 10 LE recently as well. We have a very green (no well established groove) and I was used to my Gen Xi on 17.5. I put the X 10 into the wall two times at the end of the straight which broke the left front steering block (CLN3251). That, knock on wood, has been the only thing I have broken on my Xi and X 10. I have a spare set of body posts on hand as that seems likely to break.

Atown,

Front steering blocks (come as pair with right and left blocks). They can come with either 5/64" or 1/8" axles; so, check for which one you have. 1/8" axles are fairly new. 5/64" axles use #3251 blocks and 1/8" axles use #3221 blocks.

And a spare set of either 5/64" or 1/8" front axles. #3235 and #1236 respectively.

#3281 Clamping Side links (pair).

#1728 Large D-Ring Axle for 1/10 scale (each). In case you have a big impact involving the rear end.

Post a picture of the car and I may come up with some other items to suggest. What bumper does the car have?

Here is a link to car I bought from the for sale forum, http://www.rctech.net/forum/r-c-item...n-car-wgt.html. There are about 3 pics with the body removed. The car has a rigid plastic bumper.

That's Trevor's car. We raced together in WGT here...LOL

I would not use that kydex bumper as a standalone. Add the #1759 WGT foam bumper on top of it to absorb some shock in a frontal impact.

When I was using the kydex bumper, I trimmed it down quite a bit to allow the add-on foam bumper to absorb most of the initial impact. It also needed to be trimmed a bit for more wheel clearance. FYI...I use the standard CRC carbon fiber bumper these days.

Joeymdz, I am looking at the parts list and do not see a part called rear bulkhead. Would you be referring to the rear pod brace?

Atown,

Just thought of an even more important part. CRC #1766 Rear Bottom Plate (for rear pod). I have had a few of these get tweaked in big shunts. Not necessarily broken; but, no longer lays flat on a setup board making it difficult to properly setup the car.

Cheers!

Bill

Thanks for the info guys. I placed an order today for the spare parts mentioned. That was before I saw the post about the rear bottom plate.

Ah yes, I do remember replacing a couple steering blocks trying to straight shoot that wicked (and hard) front side switchback on last year's Carpet Nationals track at TZ II.
