Agreed that the level of traction is a factor too.

Good posts.

At time zone.. Its a huge track and i haven't tested both setups but since their track is fast, big, and high grip.. Front mount servo felt really good there.
You just gave yourself your own answer.
Slow speed low grip requires the car to roll for traction.
high speed high grip requires the car to stay flat to reduce traction.

Nah, that's wrong mate. If you want more steering, put the battery at the back of the chassis, and for mazimum steering, put it across the back rather than front to back. You will gain maximum pendulum effect by doing so, therefore increasing the steering response. Cheers.

i didn't answer my own question... i was just sharing my info

I'm not the only one that is switching back to the stock location (as per some of the local big race travelers)

OKAY OKAY I WAS WRONG (in "MY" eyes its easier to stiffen the rear to get more steering then changing the battery position)

Ok so rather than change the battery position (which I don't particularly want to do!) when you say go stiffer in the rear you mean stiffer side springs?

http://www.teamcrc.com/crc/downloads...ete_manual.pdf

go to page 17 and read from there... its a great tool to keep!

99% of the time i keep my side springs the same and just change out the main spring. (i run white side and shock springs. on high grip i change the main spring to red and keep my white side springs. this was the same set up by frank and other drivers at the TZ grand prix)

remember when changing out your center spring it changes your droop

Unless you change the center shock length, how would this change droop ?

And BTW, rumor has it that our "Slapmaster Buddy" has also gone back to the angled servo mounts, 3/16th front spindles as well as myself, (the cars just steer better).

H-30 has ditched the sweeper so, one long straight followed by much narrow and technical stuff !

OK menz, race night is tomorrow night. I have new front end springs, side springs and 0, 5, 10 degree upper A arm mounts coming before race time.

Going to change my side springs and front springs and go from there...not going to matter that much because Friday I have the LE conversion kit coming with Long A arms....so next week my setup will be completely different.

Might have to take a couple steps back before leaping ahead. Going to be a challenge making adjustments between springs, A arm mounts and battery position to hit the sweet spot I'm looking for. Looks like Saturday maybe an all day test session.

I'm bound and determined to give those BMI boys a run for their money...oh and best part is I will be soldering in a special built Trinity D3 tomorrow....very good stator and rotor numbers. Don't think I mentioned our WGT class runs 13.5 blinky mode.

So, looking forward to tomorrow night but really looking forward to the next couple weeks as I tweak it in where I want it!!

Not sure about Brian, I'm running the "STD's"

I do know he's using the 200mm Frt suspension mount plate and 5* caster blocks and by the time our 2 day race happens, his car will have the Hobbywing 1s ESC installed (and maybe even sorted). Should be interesting.

We run 10.5, open ESC.....""Mondo Ripp"" !!!!!!!!!!
