Wim will have them sooner or later mate (he mentioned to me that he had just ordered a load of new stuff last week). Cheers, Chris.

No worries mate. Hey, are you still running yours as a 10.5 1c setup or the 17.5 2c setup? Mark Simpson text'd me to say that he ran his 17.5 2c and he thought it was MUCH better than the 10.5 1c setup! I plan to run up at Ardent, but I aint gonna bother if the 2c guys blast by me with my 1c setup!! Cheers mate, Chris.

sticking with 10.5 1s mate as I think that is how the class should be, suits the cars better. Plus the 2s cars need to be 1150gms I haven't seen a 2s car run with that weight but should be close.

I did OK at the first national here with my 10.5 1c car, but Mark has mentioned that the other setup is killing ours at the Ardent series. He tried that setup out and said that it is much quicker! I thnk they should split the championship at Ardent if there is an advantage using the 17.5 2c setup as I aint gonna buy that stuff when I have plenty of 10.5 1c items from my 12th racing!!

The only problem for me is work really, I dont live too far from Ardent but work gets in the way of racing!

Hi All,

fighting with wiring and placement of stuff in my LE... Hobywing 120A 1S ESC is little bit to big for mid battery installation... Could some one post pics of placements stuff in LE? Is there any bad things in 1/12 style cross battery placement?

Small tracks will work in favour of lighter cars.
Larger tracks in favour of power cars.
At Aldershot I could do 20:310 with 2s 17.5 at 1140g, but could only do 19:313 with 1s 10.5 at 1020g (lightest you can run outdoor and still stay on the track).
Guys who used to run 4cell 10.5 were also running 20:310 at 1140g.

Yet at WLRC a 1s 10.5 would leave the 2s 17.5 standing as they were lighter and was able to stop later and go sooner (bit like ballast in BTCC).

1s 10.5 and 2s 17.5 are ok running on track together, but should not be in the same championship.

My set up is running Stumpy (short) 2s 17.5 in a McKune 1s chassis.

Default car

I just picked up a CRC Gen X-10 Lipo car today. I am trying to find out what mods need to be done. I am also looking for a setup for carpet for the WGT class.

Is that the older Pro chassis (with the trap door for the battery) or the newer LE chassis?

For either case, check the Pro/LE setup sheets at www.teamcrc.com

Hi,

If is one of the older chassis I recommend blocking up one of the holes on chassis as per my blog:

http://rcgtpancars.blogspot.com/2011/05/my-car.html

it can cause major damage in big crash.

I can recommend hupos setup from the CRC website, its a great starting point:

Cheers
Chris
