Just contact CRC and have them send you a new chassis. It's obviously a manufacture defect and should be replaced at no charge.

He did and got it today I believe. Great guys at CRC, they handled my carpet order very well and are always quick to respond to messages. It's getting rare to find good customer service these days so props to them.

I'm sure this link has been posted before but for those that don't know, it's another awesome resource for setup & tech info mostly concerning the Gen-X 10

been awhile since some bodies were added to wgt, so i thought i would post a possibility , hpi or pro-line could do one just like this.imagine a well handling body that looks not only realistic but sexy as hell.

This may seem an odd question but how is everyone securing their 1s lipos in the LE? I have just converted my GenX10 to an LE but the lipo seems to have left to right movement. i could tape it in but I cannot see tape used in any recent pictures.

Thanks

Hey Tim,

Not odd at all...

I purchased an extra set of the #3373 Molded Battery Position Pieces and drilled the needed holes in the LE chassis plate to attach them on both sides of the pack. Just one countersunk hole for the screw was sufficient.

Have previously sent one suggestion to CRC to secure the 1S packs in yet another way. If you have an idea to improve the car, send it in to Frank@teamcrc.com. You might see it come to fruition.

Bill

Had my first day at the track with the Gen-X 10 LE

This is my first pan car and WOW it was glued to the track, I was really impressed with the handling for the first time out with a less than perfect setup, it still handled great. Can't wait to get it dialled in and see what it can really do.

Looks like another guy is buying one at my club. SCAR class is taking off

Heads up for anyone buying a Gen-X to run 2cell, you need to add spacers to the 3/4" Hex Standoffs for the battery to fit. For an Orion 25C 2400mAh (spec LiPo for SCAR) you need to add 1/4" spacers and use longer screws.

Another option is to get four (4) of the #3337 Red 7/8" Hex Standoff Posts (as used at the front of the rear pod) to use lower height spacers.

I was looking at those, perfect height for the Orion spec battery we use.

Now that the centre shock angle has changed, and according to the GenXL manual that will reduce steering, should I raise the rear ballcup of the shock to get back to the same angle to increase steering?

Thanks

Lightbulb So, in an attempt to "Confront Boredom".............

As someone who has never liked 1s Lipo power for WGT's, I took my Gen X10 LE as was configured for the ROAR Carpet Nats and for FUN, made the following changes:

Add 1 Losi 3800 60C 7.4Volt LiPo (LOSB9880), w/Xray 25.5mm Alum standoffs to raise the upper deck to fit the LiPo.

Revised the Body Posts to Fit an "Already Painted Red Bull Mulsane Body" I had laying around collecting Dust.

Add some Jaco Pink Tires cut down to 56mm Front, 60mm Rear, (also laying around collecting dust), reduce rollout down to 40mm "Ballpark" to startoff.

These changes raised the weight from 930 to 990 grams, leaving the Tekin RS in the same location as for 1s legal WGT racing, however, now the Car has very decent "Rip" with a 13.5T DUO 3 and handles very well with the additional weight! I think it would now be possible/reasonable to "Motor Down" to 17.5T, or even 21.5T and the Cars could be Real Fun Parking Lot Racers........My .02, (or at least what I'd love to see happen).

Angry

Wgt needs to be running 2s lipo just like tc classes in an effort to reduce cost to the racer ! One 2S pack format for all classes ! Europeans run pro10 with 2S and 13.5t to 3.5t motors ! Come on Roar !!! The US drivers have no way to get any real high speed experience in the electric pan car class !!!!

I sent CRC an email about 2 months ago via the website and haven't had a reply yet,

Michael

Or use the #1764 4mm Top Plate on the rear pod to get it back up there.

I have broken a 2mm top plate; but, never a 4mm.

+1

SCAR is 25.5 with Orion 25C 2400mAh spec LiPo, lap times are on par with WGT 17.5 1 cell at Lou's Speedway in Dorchester, Ontario. They run a Challenge class of 1/10th pan car; SCAR, World GT & TransAM all together. Great budget friendly racing that appeals to many racers. My club is following their lead with lots of interest, 3 SCAR cars with two more on the way in one week!!
