Default Battery Strapping Tape vs Electric Tape

I've used both tapes, sure the strapping tape is stronger, but i've never had the electric tape break on me. I see no difference in performance but the cost is $14.99 vs .99 cents, whats the point?

$14.99 for strapping tape is alot cheaper than buying another battery pack

i use the 3m strapping tape like this one and is $2.50 per roll

stapping tape is for sure the way to go....especially "Sliontech" tape...with that stuff one can fold the ends over and reuse the same piece 4-8 runs before needing another piece...

Electrical tape will stretch. You don't need that to happen.

Stretching is bad. That will allow the cells to jiggle around and give them extra momentum that can eject them in a crash.

I use a strapping tape I get from my track (forget the brand name) But its sooo sticky and strong, and to be sure, I double up the tape, tape the pack in with 1 piece, and then another, and I use that for about 20 runs

Talking Fibre Tape

Hi Guys, well fiberglass reinforced tape is the way to go if there is a problem with people think they may split tape where it wraps the chassis just run two strips extra on bottom of chassis at cell ends this makes sure it wont wear as it will have to get other 2 layers down before that could even happen as for cost well i have unlimited supply from work and get it cut to 22mm wide
