Integy 16x5v6.0b / Novak Milenium

I just bought the integy charger and after 8packs of charging , all 4 packs that were charge on the CDC charger is hotter coming of the charger than the packs charged from millenium.....both chargers has been set to the same peak threshold and also having the same charge amp...is this fine??what settings are all of you guys using the integy charger use on GP3300 batts

cheers

I have both chargers also and I have noticed when the peak detection levels are set the same the integy charger does make the packs hotter so I set the peak detection lower on the integy (eagle 16x5v6) charger. I dont have any gp's but I charge the panasonics at 3mv and sanyos at 7mv. Hope this helps.

rcdougie - thanks...i was using 5mv per cell/30mv per pack on my GP3300...maybe i'll just go down on the threshold
thanks

Well, See, you can actually let the batteries(GP3300) come off the charger at up to 140 degrees F. they run there best at about 130-135 off the charger. Hope that helps.

GP3300s

I charge my GP3300s on my 16x5 v6 at 6.1 amps, with a .2 to .3mV per cell. Anything more then that and you are correct they get extremely hot.

different chargers often use different peak settings for the same packs. for example, i would use a 120mv setting (20mv per cell) for a nicd on a space charger, but on my cdc i use 96mv (16 per cell) for the same pack. they both charge roughly the same mah, time, etc, even though the settings are different.

both the Integy 16x5v6.0b and theNovak Milenium uses diffrent charging algorythms.......Three different charge modes come standard with the Novak charger: Ni-Cd, Ni-Cd Reverse Pulse, and Ni-MH2,,,,,with the Novak the delta peak/ voltage threshold or peak detection level is set @ factory and it can't be changed and is not adjustable when in the Ni-MH2 mode..However the lower factory setting will cause false peaks and end of charge temp will be cooler.......in my opinion the Integy 16x5v6.0b is far a better charger with more options...click here for info Hope this Helps

6 amps, charge, .04mv per cell (Gp3300), try .03 though, if the batts start getting to hot before the charger shuts itself off.
