Soldering stickpack
how do u make it so that the both the joints is hot enough at the same time to solder the battery together.
#2
the way i do it is
scrach up the battery ends with a key or something to make sure the solder sticks. then put some solder onto it.
then you put some solder on the battery bar
solder one sidedown while the other side is tilted. then push on the tilted side right away
i know what your talking about but i dont think anyone has had trouble with this. i usually look for a 60w soldering iron.
when i fisrt started i had a 30 once the solder is in a big chunk i cant get it to melt
i hope this helps

Hammer head soldering iron
well u will need a hammer head soldering iron to do a good joint and u can also use 1 of the ends to solder saddle packs cos thats what i do and even until the extend of soldering the motor wires the iron i am using is only 40W and it is doing a nice job i have some of the heads not and if u want i can supply the iron cos its custom made to fit. BTW i use pure copper for the iron head cos they are the best conductor for heat.....

thats pretty cool
i though it wasnt safe/good to just stright solder the batteries
i dont know why i wouldnt but thats what they say

To solder a stick pack use flexible battery bars or strips of thin copper sheet. Solder the pack up like a saddle pack then fold it up.
Trinity, Integy and others make kits with bars shrink tube and end caps to make a really nice job.

whats wrong with just plane soldering it with the hammer head end?
that is totally cool by the way

that is cool...i never seen that b4...wat i did was to put the iron in between the cells and touches the cells at the same time...it does the job but not very well.

special soldering tip
bascially u need some practice to get it right... as for diamantling them i simply twist the cells and they just pop apart another thing to take note it that this tip was designed for building cells for electric flight because they way the pack are to be place on the planes need certain shape thats the only wasy to do the special shapes. but i found out that this can be used to build stick packs so why not......
