Default 27T Vs 23T Stock Motor

Hey guys,

Can someone fill me in please on the following question?

Is there much difference in performance between the 27T & 23T stock motor?

there will be a difference and weather it will be a lot or not is ur own opinion

hey
from what i have read there has been alot of investment and research into the 27t stockers and the 23's are newish so not as much has been put into them so they should be pritty close

Well the 23T Stockers will put the 27T Stocks to shame..

the 23T`s spin at about 30000~33000 and you can gear them in the 4.9~6.0 Range...unlike if you were to gear any 27T under 6.0 your playing with fire ...try the 23T you`ll like them

I would agree with Dave. A good 23T will pull around 30k rpm on a flywheel dyno (CS)......and they seem to love crazy gearing and coming off after 8 minutes ready to fry an egg!

What do they race with around you? it normally depends on the country as to what type of stock motor they use. Here in the UK I don't think I'd be able to find a 23turn stock motor for sale anywhere. Best get what your local club uses so you have the option to race there in the future.
