Questions?? Gearing Tight?

Got a TC4 with a Peak 15T motor in it with a 24T pinion and standard 72t spur (think). It seems really stiff and hard to push while not running. Would this be from the diffs being to tight or pinion/spur to tight? Motor endbell gets hot really quick

Hey drift_buggy,

The TC4's will always seem tighter compared to a belt drive car, i'm guessing that the pinion might be too tight.

You should be able to rock the pinion slightly without moving the spur, try this on several different places as you might find a tight spot.

Another way to find the right mesh is to use a cigarete paper between the pinion and spur.

Cheers
