Good news, glad to see people already stepping up. Do you have a picture of your hard case?

Since the hard plastic skin is built into the shrink wrap on the pack, it will not change the "look" of our packs. The pictures on the site should give you examples of what the packs will look like. We will also offer it as a detachable case/skin. Pictures of the seperate skin will be on the site this week. Stay tuned...

How will the hard cases effect the dimensions or are the dimensions listed on your site including the hard cases?

from your site:
6000mah Capacity
44mm X 137mm X 22mm

The hard case is about 1/2mm thick so it adds about 1 mm in each direction. The packs will still fit in the same space as a standard nimh pack without any issues.

The orion 3200's are 20.5 between humps (so say 21 or 21.5 if they dont fit perfectly) and they BARELY squezze into a US spec Corally RDX Phi. I was thinking a 22 would possibly squeeze in with a little work milling the bulkhead but I dont think I want to shave off a full mm or more.

That would be very close. I would almost have to have the vehicle here to test. Drop me an email at [email protected] and I will send you one to check it out.

Actually I see your 5000's would slide in pretty easily. 3200mah has been more than enough for me so far so 5000 would work great.

I dont want to buy any new packs until the packs get officially approved.

Thanks for the info and prompt replies.

Guys the really nice thing about more capacity like with our 6000's is that you can run your qualifiers on one pack and then have another fresh pack just for the main. Many of our sponsored racers that race with Li-Po's already do this and we have had some use the qualifier pack to even win the main all on the same charge. So in a way it saves you the hassle of charging at the races.

Maxamps...

You guys have a HUGE opportunity here! Since you provide your packs configs ala carte you need to add a "heavy" option too!!! If you put a 1.7mm thick peace of lead in the case you could get...lets say the 6000MAH pack to 420+ grams. The same as a 4200MAH pack. You would be the ONLY company offering this and your made to order style is perfect! Just an idea...but you'd be offering what others won't/cant!

Take a look here...

I am very glad to hear that "cases" are avilable for or MaxAmps Packs. I have put mine through hell, and then some, I figure I have set more then one World record with my packs, 24 hours no stop, plus more Charge cycles per pack
Anyways thanks for letting us continue to race with MaxAmps LiPo's
