When my best friend met my future wife, she recognized the paragon smell on him and told him she knew he had been to the track. He told me to marry her. Anyone girl who didn't mind "track bite" smell was marriage material.

10 years later - and I've got two young sons who know what track bite smell is. Thanks to her!

So what is the skinny on the body rules for this event? I am hearing the Parma and Proto-Form tc bodies do not meet the new specs. Are they being allowed for this event until new molds can be made or????

RBLove ...... what new SPECS would you be refering to? There were no changes in the body rules for touring or 1/12th this year. The only body rule this year was the new Oval body spec.

Interesting. I am hearing from the manufacturers that their bodies do not meet the guidelines. Maybe this is just an over sight and they are approved????

Will these bodies be legal at this race?
Parma - Alfa and Mohawk
Protoform - DNA1, DNA2, Mazda6, and Speed6

I just looked on roarracing.com and I do see the bodies on the approved list. So I am not sure why some are saying they are not legal.

There were changes to the Body SPEC last year, and the manufacturers were given 1 year to come up with new bodies to fit the spec.

It is called the Global Body Spec, and EFRA, ROAR and other sanctioning bodies are following it. It is in the ROAR Rulebook right after rule 8.9.5.9.

The current popular foam carpet bodies do not fit these guidelines. When looking at the approved bodies on the ROAR web site, please take note of the approval expires column.

THe real issue is the Foam bodies.

It looks like from Protoform....the DNA1-1486, Mazda Speed 6-1487 and Stratus 3.0 AP-1476 and what ever part number 1479 is legal as well for Parma only the Type M-10220 and the Mc Allister Lexus B-233 are the only legal bodies on that list that you can still get from what I was able to look up.
