Tamiya mini cooper

First off, I'd like to apologize because I know this isn't a Li-po page but, I just had to ask the Tamiya M03 "Mini Pro's."
Recently, I placed a Orion 3200 Li-po battery on my M03M Swift. I noticed so much roll - it was some what uncontrollable in the turns. Therefore, I was thinking about placing lead weight stripping on the Orion 3200 battery (top-side). Does anyone has any suggestions? Should I place the lead weight on the battery or on the front and rear bumpers? I was thinking about placing about 100 to 120 grams of lead weighting on.
Please help anyone.

Put the wt. on the battery, that's where it belongs. About 4 oz. is about right. If you need more to bring the car up to legal wt., add it to the front bumper. Parts Plus has a thin tire wt. that you can place both on top and bottom of an Orion 3200 and will still fit perfectly. The stock # for the wts. is TAW 7026. You'll have to buy a box of 48 which runs about $40 if I remember correctly. Go in with some friends.

You might beable to find that on the Tamiya USA site under downloads if you type in the part number.
Enjoy your mini! A word of advice though if you can get the tree with the new swift knuckles on it they are so much better than the the ones that come with that kit. You'll also need bearings for it as it uses smaller ones.

Yep which is not ROAR or TCS legal and is dangerous. Have you read any of the threads regarding LiPo? Track down all the posts and threads started by linger. Those will explain exactly why those are a bad idea in ANY cars. Unless of course you enjoy running the risk of fire destroying the battery, the car, your pit table and any other piece of equipment sitting nearby.

Nice score Kreator... post pics when you finish it
The reinforced lightweight uprights also require the smaller TA04 king pins in front. You also get the benefit of 2-degrees of toe-in on the rear uprights. The bearing size for the newer lightweight uprights is 5x10
