What are you guys using to mount a transponder in you M-03? I usually just punch an extra hole in the body, but I'd like to do it right for a change.
Also: Why are people getting all hot n' tingly for the Savox servos? Are they a particularly good deal or something? I've seen them. I've seen the pricing. They don't seem that special to me.

Hello Jim,
The pricing on the Savox servo's is lots cheaper than purchasing a high end Futaba and they have metal gears.
Calvin.

the savox, from what I was told by a shop owner, are orion servo's with a different case. I run them in both my sc10's and they're butter smooth. very stong and fast. $60 is worth the price imo.
I'm in need of a stock servo horn for a m03. I tried a kimbro with no luck. then went to a solid one and broke my servo. if anyone has a spare they would like to sell, pm me please. I'd rather not buy the whole parts tree with only a month or so left of indoor.

Hello Bob,
On another note I have to agree strongly with you in regards to ausing a high quality servo in my mini's. I have found the better quality servos cause less steering problems. I have found this out through experience, as I scrimped on my original servos and could not work out why I was having problems. Some of this included problems with the servo saver, but was predominately the cheap servo I was using.
I now only use Futaba 9551's in my mini's. Perhaps overkill but work for me.
Later,
Calvin.

So I hopped the steering up with the Tamiya aluminium posts, arms, and link. Still no good.
Could it have been three bad servos ?
Surely not three bad servos ?
Put in a Savox SC-0254MG and it's an absolute pleasure to drive now.
I have seen the light.
hows this for blasphemy. Tamiya M06 with a mini body. RWD fun here I come!

FWD M-chassis cars have odd numbers.
RWD M-Chassis cars have even numbers.
So I'll assume M-07 will be the next FWD member for the M-chassis family.

Well, who would have expected this...yet ANOTHER new FWD Mini chassis. This time from ABC Hobby.
The 'Gambado' and at 210 mm it's a SWB.
Looks interesting, certainly very different. But there are a few HPI Switch-esque elements that have me worried...

Are these going to be ARTR, like the Genetic? Interesting suspension setup.
Not too impressed at first glance.

The steering system reminds of the Tamiya MO1 setup. The bumper is the only part offering protection for the hinge point and steering linkages on the front of the knuckles.
I remember the pivot points on the MO1 were the weak points or the steering. If it snapped you required a new front chassis half.
The car certainly looks interesting though.

Is the m03 body fit guide on rc-mini.net current and accurate?
I have an M03-m (Sukuki kit) and the local groups wants to do a series sponsored by Mini dealerships, so they require Mini bodies. Will I have to change my chassis or is there an option out there that works with some minor alterations?
Thanks as always
