Given the lack of interest in the M-04 (I actually own two and love them) I cannot see the M-06 being popular.
However, the M-06 though appears to have addressed the weight distribution problems of the M-04 so who knows.
I'm a Tamiyaholic so I'll be getting one regardless.

m05 ball diff instructions
does anyone have the instructions for assembly for an m05 ball diff? I've searched with no luck.
I have also seemed to have shattered the thrust bearing. Are these available separately?

I'm sure it's not that complicated. It would go:
diff screw - thrust bearing - actual diff with bearing et. al. - diff spring - nut
can't post pics yet..
try downloading some instruction manual from tamiyausa and just replace the ring gear or the pulley in the ball diff assembly.

It's not Tamiya's M05 diff, but it builds the same except this has 12x 2.4mm diff balls and Tamiya use 8x 3mm diff balls...

In our TC finals my car just slowed right down and then towards the end of the race seemed to speed up. I had this happen before when the tyre jumped off the rim and was wearing on the steering hub. This time it was the diff.........it tightens up when turned in one direction and loosens in the opossite!

Apparently this is a known problem with the 05 ball diff and some have now reverted back to the 03 diff.

use the TRF thrust bearing , screw and nut , problem fixed !!

well i gave up on the ball diffs, after replacing 3 and not racing that much i decided to glue the original set together, she corners a little hard and wears the hell out of tires but i sure pulls out of a corner, have no problems now.

My M-05 steering is still not centering after I turn left.
I replaced the standard steering rod / link to the servo with Tamiya's aluminium version (part#54195) but the problem still exists.
The same problem is mentioned on rc-mini.net but no explantion or solution is provided.
The servo is working fine, the tie-rods appear fine - I have even swapped them over to opposite sides and nothing changes.
Also, the car requires almost maximum trim to the left to get it to track straight if that's any help.
M-03 > M-05.
