Please, I'm not arguing or even questioning your response, just curious about this. Sorry, may have quoted the wrong person and should have directed it to the other guys talking about the new Tekin program.

So to anyone who has direct knowledge, can you fill in the uninformed and the not so well connected.
I am not sure what Scooby is talking about...But I emailed Randy Pike and he confirmed what I was told a while ago - there is no way to boost a brushed motor, no matter what speedo you are using the only way (according to Randy) is to increase voltage

thanx, that's what I gathered from those I asked. Had to do with a sensor or something. Two wires to a motor is complicated enough for me. Even with two, I sometimes have a car shoot of backwards.

Craig - I think Scooby is just getting a little gamemanship . I don't wanna see minis get crazy and that includes going brushless

there isn't a tekin software that will/would/could boost/timing advance a brushed motor - even powering a silver can with a tekin RS, won't give you the boost settings

I heard that Tekin is replying to any inquiries and denying such a program exists. Could it be that someone was having a laugh at our expense???? Well if he was, sure caught me.

Should have stepped back and thought it thru, instead of knee jerk reacting. You cannot change the timing on a brushed motor w/out physically changing something.

Yea guys, I was just messing with kabo that's all. I am a team driver for tekin and I had to hear it from Randy Pike for making such a joke. You can't boost timing in a brush motor unless you have this endbell adaptor plate we may or may not come out with. It works well though!

Questions?? M03 Mini: build or sell & buy lastest version?

I have a M03 version [NIB] that my wife bought me about the time I dropped out of running RC many years ago. It has sat in my closet for years since I last raced in the late 1980s, iirc, and it was not too long after that that I got the Mini.

I am interested in getting back into a little RC racing and wonder if the M04 or M05 was a significant step up from the M03. I have never built/raced a Tamiya product. All my prior experience was in 1/10 pan cars on carpet Oval. Any veteran Mini owner/racers want to give an opinion?
