You're right about Fremont; quite a drive for me. I got physical limitations that make it a real bit## to make that drive. not sure about Ripon-didn't even know they had a track there. Besides all the negative, Livermore has space aliens around there around the lab. Thanks for the insight though!

Ripon has an awesome track. I didn't race in it but I remeber it most for the Reedy Invitational where I got to see the prototype Tamiya TRF414x.

click-->Ripon Speedway

lol, Livermore got space aliens and nukes!

just thought i would post a couple of pics of my M05, its almost done. build process was pretty simple and straight forward. Nothing seems majorly special about this car, just a good update from the M03.

Wait til you drive it. We have seen some astonshing results. It seems the box stock setup on the M05 is already on pace with our full blown dialed in M03Rs....thats with nothing much yet done to the M05. Its got another .5-.7 in it easy once we tune on it. Read my words...it WILL replace the M03!

Any area to look out for tuning? Going to try some setups this weekend like the lower hole for the front upper arm for more camber gain etc.

We'll have to wait til next Sunday to get more wheel time and actually start tuning the car. Mainly springs, camber link location and tires. My guess is this car will need a slightly different tire setup than the M03 to get the most out of it.

BTW...Anyone heard anything about swaybars for this car?

The whole event is being professionally filmed for actual DVD release by Ray Wood r/c videos.

The same people who do all the IFMAR World Championship DVD's.

I started bulding the M-05 last night. I installed bits from my M-04 into it, seeing as the bearings and gears were already nicely broken in. Front suspension is mostly M-03R, and lower control arms are Blade Racing delrin pieces. So, for the most part, other M bits fit.

Everything fits just like it belongs there. Cool!

Charlie, how much does your M05 weigh without any lead in it?

Great 'Mini 50' logo design.

I'll have to keep an eye out or that DVD!
