Hey, what is the best wheel for the mini-class? Should be light and strong.

Is the M0-2m any good? Well yea it is, but that's one of the old monoshock style mini chassis. I have seen guys make them as fast as the current chassis but it seems to take more work to get them there. My advice would be to wait for a used M0-3 to come down the line. You don't have to fiddle with them so much to make them fast and parts are easier to come by. Which should work better for light hearted racing.

Best wheel for the mini class? Ive always used the Tamiya fiber reinforced wheels. They are a touch heavier then the regular plastic but they don't bend or kink when you hit stuff. Ive beeen told they are no longer being produced but I have yet to have any problem getting them.

Yeah don't even mess with it for a few extra bucks you should get the MO3. You will get more tips on how to set up your car with the people who currently own them. You just don't see to many MO2 around anymore.

I LOVE my M02's but if I was outfitting myself for racing I wouldn't even consider them. BIGGEST problem is that parts are absolutely unavailable, even by Tamiya's weak "availability" standards. The only way to buy parts is on the collector market and even then they're TOUGH to find. And fairly expensive by comparison when/if you DO find them.

Do yourself a favor, if it's a car you like and want for a shelf queen or casual screwing around on the front drive go ahead and get it realizing that parts are like diamond chips. If you're wanting to race do yourself a favor on a LOT of levels and get an M03 or M04 chassis based car.
