I was wondering if you got any support from Tamiya America for the Mini Mayhem race?

With the standard kit tires I would think the M04M would have an advantage as the tires are better than the stock M03M tires.

And dang I want more than one of those Bluebirds

I'm not sure, I'll check it out and let you know.

I know we did follow the TCS Mini rules for this event and Trackside puts on a big Regional TSC race every year, thus the big Tamiya banner.

Just wondering as we just had a Mini Race here in Japan,we run a mix of different chassis`s. But we got alot of support from ABC,Chevron, and Sanwa(airtronics). There was so much free stuff that the raffel for the door prizes had to be repeated after everybody had a new body to take home. I dont know if Tamiya was even asked after everybody else all ready gave so much.
I was just wondering how much support if any you got from Tamiya, as you were running TCS rules and it would have been good for Tamiya to give you a hand even if it wasnt a regional race or anything. I dont think there are that many companies in America that have a M chassis car but i could be wrong.
I was reading the thread about the race in a different thread and it sounded like everybody involved really worked hard to have a good event.
I love M chassis cars and was just wondering about your event.

hey guys....we are looking to add this class to our 2008 lineup. I will appreciate any suggestions as to the best way to get this class started. our track in south Florida has been dormant since Hurricane Wilma, and a few of us have gotten it up and running. We do have a couple of different F103GT classes, Porsche Cup with the silver can and Courage with a 10.5 brushless.....now we are looking at adding TT01 and Mini and will apply for a TCS Regional for late 2008.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions....

No, all prizes (nitro car kit, pit towel, hats, bodies) were donated by a former TCS champ who cleaned out his storage closet. Amazing what one can accumulate after attending enough TCS races.

Hopeful to have Tamiya support next year.

I THINK THEY SHOULD HOLD THE WORLDS HERE IN THE US ONE YEAR OR MAYBE EVERY 4 YEARS THAT WOULD BE COOL. Hell why not just move Tamiya's manufacturing over here! lol Yeah right so it would cost $300 to make an MO3. That would be sweet to have a outlaw mini race run what you brung one rule though. Everyone has to run rear wheel drive with friction dampners. Now that spells comic releif.

Default MO3 Setup

Hey Guys,
I had a blast running the Mini Coopers this weekend at the Mini Mayhem race. It was a shame I couldn't run the mains as I had to work.
My setup was as follows...
FRONT
Neon Blue springs
60 wt oil
2 hole pistons
no swaybar
Droop was 1/4 of shaft showing at full extention
REAR
White springs
40 wt oil
2 hole pistons
Large swaybar
Droop was 3/8 of shaft showing at full extention

Front tires were S grips, double stuffed
Rear Tires were M grips with one soft insert
Tires were sauced fully front and rear with JTG and cleaned with WD40 after every run. Any other questions, feel free to ask.
